Leonardo da Vinci Airport
The main international airport in Rome is Leonardo da Vinci Airport. Still frequently many people use its old name, Fiumicino.
Leonardo da Vinci Airport has 3 terminals:
- Terminal A: domestic flights
- Terminal B: domestic and international flights (Schengen)
- Terminal C: intercontinental and international flights

Leonardo da Vinci Airport is located 26km southwest of Rome.
bus
Terravision shuttle buses run daily to from the airport to Rome Termini and Tiburtina Station. Fare is €9 for a single ticket, a return is €15. Bus stop is outside the arrivals halls. The Terravision buses departs in Rome from Via Marsala, right behind the bus station at Termini. Terravision ticket office, Agenzia 365, Termini Station (entrance in Via Marsala). Opening hours are: 8.00 to 20.00. At night there are no trains to but is the COTRAL nightbus running between 01.15 to 05.00.(€5)
Another bus company with shuttle services from the airport to Termini Station is 'Schiaffini'. Single ticket is €9. Only from 16:25 and 17:00. Tickets can be purchased on the bus.
train
The Leonardo Express train leaves every 30 minutes and goes non-stop to Termini train station.
Travel time is 40 minutes. Fare is €9.50. At night there are no trains to the airport.
- from Roma Termini: first departure is at 05:52; last journey is at 22:52
- from Fiumicino Airport: first departure is at 06:35 and last journey at 23:35
Regional trains leave once every 15 minutes to Rome.
taxi
Official taxis (white with a taximeter) are available at the arrivals areas of each terminal. A taxi ride would cost about €40-€50.
