The official tourist information office’s in Rome are called PIT (Punti Informativi Turistici). The PIT’s are located through the city centre and airports. Their multilingual staff provide free maps, give tourist information and sell metro/bus/boat tickets, Roma pass and make reservations. The smaller tourist booth’s are open 365 days/year.
