Rome Via Veneto (street) Via Veneto was the decor in Fellini's world famous movie 'La Dolce vita'(1960). It is a film about rich playboys and moviestars in Rome, celebrating life in nightclubs at the Via Veneto. The scene of Anita Ekberg playing in the Trevi Fountain at night became immortal in the film history. The street is located between Piazza Barberini (metro station Barberini) and parc Villa Borghese. It has lost some of its glamour, but Via Veneto is still a place where the rich and famous are spotted. The luxurious Westin Excelsior Hotel, the Palazzo Barberini, expensive terraces and the exclusive shops attract lots ot tourists. Hard Rock Cafe In the Via Veneto is also The Hard Rock Cafe: an American restaurant chain. Food: hamburgers, chicken wings, spring rolls, nachos, potato skins and much more. We didn't see the interior from the outside but when we entered the cafe, it was crowded with no empty seats. If you want to go there: at their website you can ask online a priority seating. Open: Sun - Thurs 12:00PM - 12:00AM. Fri - Sat 12:00PM - 1:00AM ![]() The Hard Rock Cafe, Via Veneto |
