Fiumicino Airport is the largest airport with the intercontinental flights. Distance to Rome is 26 km. The airport is also called ‘Leonardo da Vinci airport’. There are 3 terminals:
– Terminal A: domestic flights
– Terminal B: domestic and international flights (Schengen)
– Terminal C: intercontinental and international flights




Transportation from Fiumicino Airport

Ciampino Airport (budget flights)

Ciampino Airport is about 15 km from the centre of Rome. It’s a small airport with many budget airlines such as: Ryanair, EasyJet, Wizzair, My Air, Blue Air, Air Berlin, Thomsonfly, Transavia and Helvetic.

Bus to/from Ciampino Airport
The journey time is about 40 minutes. However if there is more traffic on the road, the journey can take longer. Also keep in mind that sometimes many people leave at the same time; maybe you have to catch a bus later. The Terravision bus in Rome city leaves from Via Giovanni Giolitti, 38. This is a street along Termini Station. An one-way cost €4 and the ticket must be printed. Tickets in your smartphone will not be accepted.
